“The people depicted are Palestinians, but they could represent anyone enduring genocide—be it in Congo, Sudan, or elsewhere. These individuals embody every form of existence: deceased, living, ethereal, and spiritual. They reach out, offering strength to those who may soon join them. The hands and arms extended symbolise a shared power—one that fuels the will to resist, persevere, and continue the fight. The community they believed to be lost remains with them, always present, always providing strength in every way possible. This enduring spirit, passed down through generations, empowers the living to carry on the struggle.”

“This painting highlights the cultural richness of Palestine’s people and land, using vibrant colors to capture both the physical beauty and the emotional depth shaped by history and identity. The olive branches and keffiyeh patterns symbolise resilience and boldness, serving as a focal point that honors the enduring spirit of the Palestinian people. The Palestinian man praying represents strength in faith amidst struggle, while the fragmented background echoes the chaos and persistence of a people shaped by centuries of hardship and hope.
I aim to engage viewers with not only the beauty of Palestine but also its stories of children, faith, suffering, and resilience. This piece honors Palestine’s history, acknowledges the pain of displacement, and celebrates the deep connection its people have to the land. Through it, I hope to provoke thought, compassion, and a deeper understanding of Palestine's ongoing narrative, inviting reflection on identity, loss, and the pursuit of peace.”
